Since opening its doors in 1985, Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support has provided safety, shelter and expert services to women and children who have experienced domestic violence. Genesis is committed to removing every roadblock a woman might face as she heals from the trauma of abuse. These life-changing services include an emergency shelter, long-term housing, counseling, advocacy, an award-winning onsite, K-8 school, daycare, access to legal representation, cutting-edge occupational therapy and a 24-hour call or text helpline. Genesis serves more than 3,700 women and children each year and relies on the generous support of the Dallas community to continue providing these services at no cost to clients. At CoVerica, Inc. and CoVerica Agency Alliance, service doesn’t stop with insurance. CoVerica Cares is our recommended charitable non-profit, built on faith, guided by integrity, and committed to strengthening the communities where we live and work.
What began in 2017 as a donor-advised initiative became an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2023, allowing us to deepen our impact, expand our partnerships, and invest intentionally in organizations that are changing lives across North Texas.
Our purpose is simple: Serve others faithfully, steward resources responsibly, and show up consistently for those in need.
